Taiwan is one of the countries with a high number of coffee places. A study showed that Taiwanese consume up to 600 million cups of takeaway coffee per year. That's 1.35 times the circumference of the Earth! Isn't that impressive? But, the lids of the takeaway coffee cups are often made out of heat resistant materials such as PP, or polypropylene. They are actually recyclable and of pretty good value, so when you throw away the coffee cup don't forget to throw that into the right bin!
