Back in the days when plastic manufacturing was at its infancy, only round-bottomed bottles had the structural capability to withstand the immense gas pressures from carbonated drinks. Apart from that, a separate plastic kit was required to fix the base upright. The mere sight of these bottles may bring forth a sense of nostalgia while unsympathetically revealing a person’s age. There will no doubt come a day when our memories bubble away, while the remnants of a past age latch onto, and outlive the present.
