Every holiday season you’ll likely see many parents bring their children to the beach to play in the sand. They often excitedly bring along their own toys such as plastic rakes, buckets, and even sand molds, eager to dig their plastic tools into the sold sand. While everyone is busy having fun though, the tide sometimes reaches out and snatches the toys away into the sea, unwittingly seizing what would have become everlasting marine debris.
