Due to the many uncertainties in the laws around the coastal fringes, there are some people who illegally abuse substances at these areas and irresponsibly discard used needles after use. Obviously, this becomes a very serious health and safety concern for visitors who merely want to enjoy themselves near the ocean. If you ever come across a stray needle, please be sure to handle it with care and place it inside a closed container as to not put yourself and others in danger.
