Fishing Float Ball

Ball floats are designed to settle atop the ocean waves, allowing fishing nets to linger near the ocean’s surface. Ball floats come in many different designs and colours, exhibiting the individuality and design sense, as well as the various apparatus types and methodologies used by the many different fishing regions and manufacturers. With the material’s buoyant nature, coupled with the forces of nature, ball floats are often pulled back and beached atop of the shore. Could this be mother nature’s way to tell us that ball floats do not belong out at sea? As their appearance resembles the head of a cartoon frog, they are commonly referred to as a “frog” under the marine debris classifications. (Well, please use your imagination!)
