This “8-track tape” is an audio storage cartridge dating way back from the 1960s which worked by writing music onto a magnetically coated plastic tape. It was a popular and desirable product at the time, pre-dating the audio cassette tape. But today, it has become just another fascinating antique! This cassette has easily endured the past six decades without any noticeable decay. This plastic material truly appears to be indestructible!
