In order to give their customers the luxury of enjoying their ice-cold beverages for longer, some merchants choose to serve their drinks using polystyrene cups which have good insulating properties. However, because the market value for polystyrene recycling is quite poor, they are not often recycled in the correct manner. Polystyrene materials are more often seen broken into fragments and scattered all over our surroundings. Polystyrene cups may keep the drink in your hand icy cool, but please don’t let that freeze your kindness to our environment.
