Ampoules are small capsule like bottles used for medicinal or cosmetic treatments. They usually come in volumes of 1 - 25ml. Ampoules often have thinner walls and tiny amounts of content. The glass is sealed at the top, with a mark at its neck for easy opening. This makes is a convenient product, but also highly hazardous to the environment when lost or thrown away! It means that it could easily break and its content would then leak out and become a pollutant!
